Mission

To respond to our member's needs by creating an educational and professional atmosphere that is conducive to further enhancing the body of knowledge in the purchasing and materials management fields.  Demonstrate strong leadership and management practices for the operation of the Association and to promote the growth of the membership.

Goals

· To create an environment of awareness that will respond to our members needs.

· To ensure that Affiliate leadership responds to the needs of its members.

· To enhance knowledge, skills, and training of the purchasing and materials management fields through developmental programs.

· To sponsor and promote participation in educational seminars.

· To encourage members to pursue C.P.M. & A.P.P. certification by informing them of the benefits.

· To expand the Affiliate’s library to better serve the members of the association.

· Develop a marketing strategy for soliciting new members.

· Promote the growth of the association by increasing the level of membership.

· Institute a system of orientation for new members.

· Develop stronger standing committees.

· Encourage participation in the association with direct involvement in the standing committees.

· Leadership must support and recognize all volunteers.

· Promote the benefits for committee participation.
